Coach Selection Policy

U4 and U6 Coaches will receive instruction by the CDSA and other websites to assist in basic soccer skill development. U8 and U10 Coaches are encouraged to participate in the ASA coaching programs that are available in Camrose and other communities in our District.
U12 to U18 Coaches must have participated in the ASA coaching course before being considered as head coach for the team.

Coaching guidelines in no order of importance:

a) Coached team last year summer or winter
b) Have a player on the team
c) Have an understanding of the abilities required for the age group and league

If two or more coaching staff cannot coach together, then they must make a decision as to what is best for the team. If additional mediating is required the Age Group Coordinator and or Division Coordinator will assist. If further mediation is required it will be brought to the CDSA Selection Committee for resolution.
